The excitement of Transcona's 100th anniversary is building very fast and with it, more activities and events are being planned in the community!  We want to keep everyone informed of these events as we hear about them, so please check this page often as we'll list the newest events with all the details here and on the events page.

The Transcona Centennial Celebration Committee encourages the community to get together and come up with their own unique way of marking the 100th Anniversary. If you or your organization have a centennial themed activity or event planned and want to post the information on the Latest News page, please go to Contact Us and send us an email. There are so many wonderful ideas out there, but we'll only be able to post information on events that have a firm date and contact information.

Please join us on May 26th for the Dedication of the Time Capsule at Transcona Centennial Square at 12:00. This event will be sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the Free Masons.

Transcona Masonic Lodge # 123 received its dispensation from The Grand Lodge of Manitoba on April 9, 1914, was instituted on April 24, 1914, and received its Charter on June 10, 1915. Like many organizations we started to have a decline in membership which led us to amalgamate with Kildonan Masonic Lodge # 131 in Sept 2003 and through this amalgamation we now call ourselves Kilcona Masonic Lodge # 183, and although we amalgamated with another Masonic Lodge we are still very, very active in Transcona, and have been here for the 98 of the 100 years .
